Abstract
Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) merupakan komoditas pertanian yang belum banyak orang yang memanfaatkannya. Tanaman porang memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kehidupan berupa umbi yang dapat dijadikan bahan makanan, industri, kosmetik, maupun obat. Zat Pengatur Tumbuh (ZPT) merupakan zat yang merangsang pertumbuhan sel-sel dan jaringan dalam tanaman. ZPT dalam penelitian ini adalah hormon auksin yang merupakan hormon untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan tunas dan akar yang akan memacu kecepatan pemecahan dormansi dan pertumbuhan tunas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai konsentrasi ZPT hormon auksin terhadap pertumbuhan tunas porang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Dusun Berus, Desa Dermawuharjo, Kecamatan Grabagan, Kabupaten Tuban. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor dan 5 ulangan dengan konsentrasi hormon auksin 5 taraf yang terdiri dari A0 : Kontrol / 0 mg/L, A1 : 150 mg/L (150 ppm), A2 : 250 mg/L (250 ppm), A3 : 350 mg/L (350 ppm), A4 : 450 mg/L (450 ppm). Hasil penelitian menunjukan pertumbuhan tunas porang dengan konsentrasi hormon auksin 350 mg/L menghasilkan pertumbuhan tunas porang yang optimum baik waktu bertunas 4,4 hsp (hari setelah pengaplikasian), tinggi tunas 12,22 cm dan diameter tunas 1,28 cm. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil yang berbeda nyata pada tiap perlakuan pengaplikasian ZPT hormon auksin.
Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) is an agricultural commodity that not many people use it. Porang plants have many benefits for life in the form of tubers that can be used as food, industry, cosmetics, and medicine. Growth Regulatory Substances (GRS) are substances that stimulate the growth of cells and tissues in plants. GRS in this study is the auxin hormone which is a hormone to accelerate the growth of shoots and roots which will accelerate the speed of breaking dormancy and shoot growth. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of various concentrations of the GRS auxin hormone on the growth of porang shoots. This research was conducted in Berus Hamlet, Dermawuharjo Village, Grabagan District, Tuban Regency. This study used a one-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 replications with auxin concentrations of 5 levels consisting of A0 : Control / 0 mg/L, A1 : 150 mg/L (150 ppm), A2 : 250 mg/L ( 250 ppm), A3 : 350 mg/L (350 ppm), A4 : 450 mg/L (450 ppm). The results showed that the growth of porang shoots with an auxin hormone concentration of 350 mg/L resulted in optimum growth of porang shoots at 4.4 hsp (day after application), shoot height 12.22 cm and shoot diameter 1.28 cm. Thus the results of the study showed significantly different results in each treatment of the auxin hormone ZPT application.
